A Journey of Faith and Hope

Dear friends and family,

Today we want to share the story of Fernanda. She is an incredible and brave girl facing a monumental challenge: she has a rare type of mixed liver cancer, a combination of hepatocarcinoma and hepatoblastoma (HEMNOS).

Her fight began at the age of 6 when her first liver tumor was detected. She underwent emergency surgery in Venezuela and was brought back to the United States in search of the best treatments.

Fernanda and her sister were born in the USA, her mother is Venezuelan, and her father is Argentine. It was in 2022 when this journey in search of Fernanda's healing began at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami.

Despite all efforts, the disease persisted, and in November 2023, two new tumors appeared and were also removed. However, the cancer managed to spread to some lymph nodes, and since then, Fernanda has been in a second phase of chemotherapy.

To continue this journey of faith and hope, Fernanda needs help to cover the high costs of treatment and living abroad in this expensive city, while her family continues to fight to provide her with the best possible quality of life.
